Great Safari, Great Company!

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful
Just wanted to let everyone know that is considering taking a safari with Warrior Trails that we had an excellent safari with them in August 2009 and would highly recommend this company.

We arranged our safari via email through Cathy in Canada less than 1 month before the safari began. She was very helpful and helped us to come up with our itinerary to include everything that we wanted to do and to see, such as hunting with the Hadza and staying at Serena lodges.

Our guide, Jackson, was fantastic and we could not have asked for a better driver/guide. He was very mellow, easy-going, and friendly. He was also easy to understand and very knowledgeable as well as flexible. He would give us a lot of information about what we saw along the way as well as about the parks, people and animals that we saw. He was never in a hurry so the safari was very relaxed and well paced. He is what made our safari so great, so I definitely recommend requesting Jackson if it is at all possible as you will not be disappointed with him as a guide.

Our safari itinerary included the following, which was 9 days and 8 nights:

Our itinerary included Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, morning hunt with the Hadza (Saw them kill two bush babies with a bow and arrow! Was a very interesting experience), Serengeti National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Ngorongoro Crater and a cultural visit to a Maasai village including a warrior walk.

Overall, we saw tons of wildlife, including the highly sought after leopards and cheetahs! Saw two male cheetahs eating a gazelle in Ngorongoro Crater – very cool. Even saw lions eating a baby giraffe and our guide told us that very rarely are lions able to kill a giraffe. We saw quite a few lions with other kills as well. We did not realize how close to the wildlife that you are able to get to on safari with zebras, wildebeest and even lions walking right alongside the road! It was all excellent and we really enjoyed our experience with Warrior Trails.

Exceptional Experience!

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful
I recently had one of the peak experiences of my life - a safari with Warrior Trails who helped me plan and book my trip to Kenya and Tanzania. It is difficult for me to fully express just how wonderful my “one of a kind” safari experience was. I do not want to say “once in a lifetime” because I plan to return to East Africa with Warrior Trails.

I read about Warrior Trails here on the TATO website, and also on the Fodor Travel Forum when doing research for my trip, after which I contacted them for an itinerary and quote. Initially I was sceptical about booking and paying for a safari online and wiring the money to Tanzania. However, there was no need for concern. The Warrior Trails rep welcomed and answered all of my trip planning questions and the resulting experience was beyond what I could ever have imagined. The accommodations were excellent, food was wonderful and our delightful guide was patient, knowledgeable, helpful, resourceful, friendly and fun.

From the beginning to the end, it was apparent that my trip was designed to cater to my particular interests and budget, and I am honoured to recommend Warrior Trails to anyone interested in fulfilling their expectations for a wonderful safari experience.

Thanks to Clamian and the wonderful staff at WT for the trip of a lifetime! All of our interests were taken into consideration when planning our trip and according to our budget. They managed all of our requests and arrangements seamlessly.

Our safari was magnificent. Our guide was welcoming, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun. We saw amazing wildlife and experienced remarkable cultures.

We would highly recommend WT and look forward to booking with them again in the near future for our next trip to Tanzania.

Wonderful Trip!

12 of 13 people found the following review helpful
Thank you for organizing such a wonderful trip for us. Everything was so well arranged and went so smoothly from our pick up in Dar, to the safari, to our time in Zanzibar. You looked after us very well.

We had such a great time on safari. Thank you for asking Erasto to be our guide. He was so knowledgeable and also great fun for the boys. It really was sad when we said goodbye at Kili Airport.

Please do not hesitate to give our email address to potential clients who require a reference. You arranged such a memorable holiday for us, we are happy to share about our wonderful experience with Warrior Trails.
