JMT African Heart Expeditions is a dynamic safari operator with mixed Tanzanian/European management, based in Arusha. Most safaris depart from the company headquarters in Arusha, to visit the famous national parks of northern Tanzania, including Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. However, safaris and cultural tours are organized in less visited areas, such as Lake Eyasi, Lake Natron, West Kilimanjaro and Simanjiro.
Safaris to the southern national parks and game reserves would depart from Dar es Salaam. Fly-in safaris are possible, during which you would fly in directly into the national parks, or fly out back to Arusha or Zanzibar.
Besides 4wd safaris, the company also organizes horseback safaris, mountainbike safaris, balloon safaris and whitewater rafting on the mighty Rufiji River, in cooperation with specialized companies.
