My first trip to Tanzania was in 1996 to climb Kili, plus a 7 day safari. The trip was a great experience and since than I have stayed in touch with AOE and have had the pleasure of using them for four subsequent trips to Tanzania. While I enjoyed the fellow travelers on my first safari, I have traveled in groups of two or one since
than and found AOE's rates affordable for a small group. They have taken me to some of the more remote game parks like Saadani, Mkomazi and Ruaha, plus the Usambari mountains and the Lake Natron region. Allan, the owner, is always eager to make suggestions about less traveled areas that are well worth the time and effort. While the animal viewing has been fantastic probably the best part of any safari is spending time with the local Tanzanian people and I have had that opportunity many times with the staff of AOE and their families and friends. If you only go to see the animals you are missing the best part!
