Tanzania Private Select Safaris was founded in the year 2003 by Aafeez Jivraj, who had then been working as a freelance & full time safari guide in various safari companies for more then 14 years. The time had come to change and give clients something very different from what the other safari outfitters were offering.

It was time to bring clients closer to nature and to give them a True African Experience.

The idea for Select Camping Safaris was born out of a desire to make it easier to follow the Great Migration. By conducting these type of mobile camping safaris, with small yet very inviting camps, we are able to set up and break down quickly when moving from one place to the other,giving clients freedom of movement and the authentic experience of Living Outdoors (bringing the clients closer to nature) without sacrificing clients true comfort.

Select Camping Safaris are a replica of the “OUT OF AFRICA” style, which take the clients back in time to the 1930’s and The Early Days of African Safari.

The camps are set up in secluded areas of the National Parks. There are no fences, and Elephants, Buffalo,Hyena, Baboons, Zebras, Jackals and sometimes even a Pride of Lions may pass though the camp. It is Africa at it’s best!!!!!!!!!!!

“OUT OF AFRICA” Style clients will have their own Personal Chef, Personal Waiter & Personal Camp Assistant, Private W/C’s and Separate Showers.
It brings the Old African feeling back to life !!!!! when on safari.
