TANAPA consult on alleviating wildebeest viewing congestion
Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) has announced a visionary plan to integrate advanced technologies to address pressing challenges plaguing the iconic Serengeti National Park.
This bold initiative aims to combat overcrowding at wildebeest migration viewing sites, reckless speeding, illegal off-roading, and frustrating delays at entry gates.
At a buzzing tourism stakeholders meeting held in Arusha, TANAPA’s Deputy Conservation Commissioner, Mr. Massana Mwishawa, announced these transformative measures.
He highlighted the urgent need for technological interventions due to the overwhelming influx of tourist vehicles and unethical tourism practices, particularly at the crucial wildebeest crossings in northern Serengeti.
