THE newly appointed installed Conservation Commissioner for Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA), Musa Kuji has been a tall order to make sure tourist arrivals reach three million in 2024.

The tourist arrivals target for 2024 is among 14 directives given to the new TANAPA boss by the Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Angellah Kairuki during a swearing-in ceremony of Mr Kuji in Arusha on Tuesday.

Ms Kairuki told the new boss of Tanapa to ensure that by December this year, Tanzania should receive not less than three million tourists and among them, new tourists should at least reach 1.2 million to reach the target of five million tourists by 2025 as directed by the ruling party, CCM in its 2020 election manifesto.
