MINISTER for Natural Resources and Tourism, Ms Angela Kairuki, has commended the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA) for its solemn efforts to promote sustainable tourism.
Kairuki expressed her compliments while touring TAWA wildlife garden at the 7th edition of the Swahili International Tourism Expo (S!TE), held in Dar es-Salaam recently.
Literally, the event focused on inbound and outbound travel to and within Africa, aiming at promoting Tanzania’s tourism to international markets and also facilitating the linking of companies based in Tanzania, Eastern Africa, and Central Africa with tourism companies from other parts of the world.
“I want to thank everyone, but especially TAWA, for the wonderful and admirable work they are doing to advance conservation, maintain management of our various reserves, and promote sustainable tourism that is concerned with all conservation-related issues,” she said.
