Temporary Closure of some roads within Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) from 27th April 2024.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) announces to all its esteemed customers the temporary closure of some of the roads with in the Conservation Area following damage caused by the heavy rains during this season.
Roads that will be affected by the temporary closure starting 27th April, 2024 include;
The Ngoitoktok Road going to Lerai Forest via Mifupa ya Tembo, the road from Msalaba Mkubwa going to Lerai Forest via Vumbi la Kongoni, The Ngoitoktok picnic site going to the special bush lunch area and the Hippo pool Road (Barabara ya viboko).
Other roads that will temporary be closed are: the road from Endulen village going to the Ndutu Plains via Mlima Matiti.
To avoid inconveniences, tour drivers and guides are highly advised not to drive across the Ndutu plains due to excessive water absorption of the ground.
