TANZANIANS, especially those in the tourism sector, are encouraged to embrace patriotism by actively safeguarding and enhancing the country’s image to cement trust with visitors.

During the opening of a tour guide training session at the African Wildlife Management, Mweka (CAWM-Mweka) in Moshi, Kilimanjaro, Rector Prof Jafari Kideghesho emphasised the importance of this dedication.

Prof Kideghesho deplored actions that undermine the government’s efforts to boost the economy through tourism, reminding that the country is making a lot of efforts to promote attractions for tourists and investors.

The rector stressed that it is inappropriate and counterproductive for tour guides or any Tanzanians to engage in activities that damage the nation’s reputation.
