- Apply Early: Make sure to submit your application at least one month before your arrival.
- Online Application Portal: The application is done through an online portal. To gain access, send the following details to the official email: drones@tcaa.go.tz. Once registered, you will receive an email with a link to the system, username, and password. Required details include:

- Nationality
Fees for Registration and Permits
As per the TCAA Aeronautical Information Circular:
- For drones weighing less than 5 kg:
- Registration cost: 100 USD
- Permit cost per day: 10 USD
- Permit cost per month: 150 USD
- Permit cost per year: 1000 USD
- For drones weighing between 5 kg and 25 kg:
- Registration cost: 200 USD
- Permit cost per day: 15 USD
- Permit cost per month: 250 USD
